Men & ladies share same toilet in our temporary office. I, a black man, forgot to close the door twice while brushing my teeth. Incidentally a lady boss ( a director) opened the door to use it. She felt embarassed about this. She however threatened to fire me from my job because of the incidents.
Is this fair?
No, she totally overreacted. But to be safe I would shut and lock the door from now on! Although I’m pretty sure you could fight that as wrongful dismissal.

Definitely not fair. However, there are very few laws protecting employees, especially since most employees now make you sign a no-fault termination form upon being hired. My guess was if she would really do it, she would do so under the guise of some other reason.

No but it’s legal.
And what does being black have to do with anything.

depends on where you live. for example, new york is an "at will" state so you can be terminated here for any reason whatsoever ( so long as you can’t prove it was based on discrimination b/c of your sex, age, sexual orientation, religion, blah, blah, blah…). but seriously…lock the door.
